Junior Charity League Projects
Spring Garden Tour: This is our newest fundraiser and a unique opportunity to view private gardens in downtown Concord while sampling delicious offerings from Concord’s own restaurants.

Evening of Giving: This is a simple idea. League members plan a party, invite friends and ask them to make a small donation to the League. The party can be simple with a few friends or a huge progressive dinner with an entire neighborhood. The cost for the League is minimal, since hostesses can write costs off on their taxes.
Clothes from the Heart: Donations are solicited in honor or
memory of someone special. A card is mailed to the honoree or their
family commemorating the gift. This is especially popular at
Christmas – the perfect gift for the person that has everything! A
league success story since 1999! Donors are recognized at the end of
our fiscal year.
Easter Eggs: Although this isn't a huge fundraiser, it is
probably one of our most cherished. Begun in 1994, each year we
create and sell a hand- painted and designed egg. We sold
approximately 800 eggs this past Easter and are planning to increase
the size of this project this year. It is a tradition among
sustainers and long-time Concord residents to collect these unique
eggs.

Christmas Ornaments: This project is similar to our Easter
Eggs project, and is being revived after a long hiatus! We will be
hand-painting holiday ornaments with an original design to sell to
members of the community. Like the Easter Eggs, each ornament can be
personalized and each year will feature a new design.
Gift Wrap: This is our biggest fundraiser so far! We began
wrapping gifts at Concord Mills Mall in 1999. We have fine-tuned
this each year, and have seen our profits soar.
Food from the Heart Cookbooks: We are in the process of
selling our fourth league cookbook. The league’s first cookbooks
were huge fundraising successes. Each member was asked to submit at
least 10 recipes. These make great welcome -to -the -neighborhood
gifts, teachers’ gifts, Christmas gifts and shower gifts.
Longaberger Bingo: This fundraiser is held during the fall
each the year and this year we are adding a spring event as well.
We have about 100 participants and the prizes have
been Longaberger Baskets stuffed with fabulous goodies! The baskets
and products are donated by area businesses. Raffle tickets are also
sold for a large collectible basket. This is a great event to get a
group together – a perfect Girls’ Night Out or Date Night!

Autobell Coupons: This fundraiser began by asking league
members to sell at least two Autobell coupons. Many of our members
have found it very easy to sell these, since one-half of the
proceeds go directly to the League.
Legacy of Caring Campaign: After 75 years of community
service and loaned operating space, the League has purchased our own
commercial space in Locke Mill. We have begun a
Capital Campaign
to help us fund the purchase and necessary renovations.
Children’s Group Consignment: League members donate
children’s items for the League’s group consignment at Calvary
Lutheran Children’s Consignment Sale each fall and spring. A portion
of the proceeds from the sale of the items goes to the League.
